Delhi to Shimla (Overnight)

Board the overnight AC Volvo bus from Delhi to Shimla. Sit back and watch the plains transform into winding mountain ranges.

Shimla to Sangla, Rakcham, Chitkul

Drive from Shimla along the scenic Hindustan-Tibet Highway. Pass through the famous Kinnaur Gate. Enjoy the beautiful green landscapes of Sangla and Rakcham along the Baspa River. Spend the evening in Chitkul, the last village on the Indo-Tibetan border.

Chitkul to Kalpa

Travel a short distance to Kalpa, a picturesque village overlooking the Sutlej river. Walk through apple orchards, stand at the edge of the thrilling Suicide Point cliff, and enjoy views of the sacred Kinnaur Kailash range. Visit the historic Kalpa Monastery.

Chitkul to Tabo

Drive into the arid, rocky landscapes of the Spiti valley. Visit Nako Lake and Monastery situated on the edge of the high Himalayan desert. Take a detour to Giu Monastery to see the famous 500-year-old self-mummified monk before reaching the quiet valley of Tabo.

Tabo to Kaza

Explore the ancient clay-sculptured chambers of Tabo Monastery. Continue to Dhankar Monastery, spectacularly perched on a cliff edge overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers. Visit the beautiful Lingti Waterfall on your way to Kaza.

Kaza Local Sightseeing

Discover Spiti's highest villages. Have lunch at Komic, the world's highest cafe. Check out Kee Monastery, the center of Buddhist learning in Spiti. Cross the high-suspension Chicham Bridge and visit the fossil village of Langza, along with Hikkim's high-altitude Post Office.

Kaza to Chandratal

Drive towards the majestic Chandratal Lake. Cross the snow-walled Kunzum Pass (4,590m), stopping to pay respects at the temple on top. Trek down to the crystal-clear crescent Moon Lake. Enjoy a cozy night and stay in camps under a clear sky.

Chandratal to Manali & Return to Delhi

Drive from Chandratal back to Manali via the spectacular Atal Tunnel. Spend a few hours exploring Manali before boarding your overnight bus back to Delhi.
